Getting bare mounts is not a priority of this guild.

We actually do alot of sitting tanks and our tanks have been remarkably flexible and good natured about it. Saedi is posted outside of the instance pretty much every night even when we are working on progresion content which only has room for 1 warrior tank. Silv has spec'd and respec for ret for Brutallus and prot for other things. Zrath has never once thown a fit about not coming to SWP except for Kalecgos. Kaercha was on backup for most of BT/MH, and there when we really need him for Brutallus. Neli has done many ZA runs. Nobler never misses a raid - ever. I think that our tanks are a great, dedicated and talented bunch and that we are lucky to have them.
You do bring up an interesting point about the structure of the xpac and the guild. The way I see it, we are a guild that raids 25-man content. We run a relatively shallow bench of people for all roles. This means that we try not to recruit people unless a raid spot for them exists. And people who are showing up for all of the raids and doing a good job should be asked to sit no more than ~1 night a week. The system isn't perfect. Sometimes peoples' schedules change abruptly. Sometimes a new semester starts and Wednesday becomes the bad attendance night for a bunch of folk and Monday the night we are likely to have 35+ people online. Sometimes we over-recruit by a person or someone returns to raiding that we hadn't expected. But in general people are not asked to sit out every night week after week without some real explaination.
Now in the xpac we are recruitng some new faces. Some other folk may decide to take a break, or to change toons or specs. The balance will be off. We don't even fully understand what will be needed for raids and what will be nice and what will be optional (10 mages with Torment the Weak and 1 slow-b*tch, ya right). Some folk may reroll or make alts to help us get the mix right. I do expect one thing -- that when our raiding roster is "settled" in WotLK, that it will be balanced around raiding Naxx 25 initially, not Naxx 10.
The strength of a smaller raiding roster is that we get to know eachother better --- both in and out of raids. And if you are a raider then you can expect to raid. It works really well when people are consistant with their attendance and good with communication. Like this summer when I was out for July, I don't think Johnna missed a single raid. When I could come back into the mix, he knew that he could take some nights off, and that I would fill in. But we wouldn't leave the guild without 2 mages for Illidan for example. The downside is that we feel it when people are gone more and we do put more pressure on our members.
I think that it works better than the alternative, especially for moving relatively quickly through content. But if people really disagree then I suppose this is a good time for discussion.

I can't make tonight since we will be at Break Fast. However, I ought to be available if we do a 6:30 or 7 run on Saturday (I have to leave to pick my folks up at the airport at 8 server) or for something on Friday night. I added 2 stacks of destruction pots and 2 stacks of mana pots to the 1st tab of the gbank for use on this run. Ask any officer to grab them.
