Guild Ranks and You
We've reclassified some of the ranks and these should now be more straightforward. GM: Me. Officers: Officer mains. Officer Alts: Officer alts. Veterans: A small number of long-time members that have access to the guild bank and officer forums. Raiders: Raiding mains. Guards: Backup raiding mains. Guards earn only OT DKP (no benched DKP) and can only "low bid" on gear in scheduled raids. Apprentice: Newly recruited main raiders for their first month in the guild. Can earn and spend DKP the same as Raiders. Alt: Alts.

I'm not sure I understand the "Guards" rank. Does this mean they have a seperate DKP account from the main raiding character?

Sounds like only mains will be Guards. Your alts will be Alts, and not have their own DKP total.

So Valthurius was a Guard, though he never seemed to remember that.

A clarification note on veterans: currently these are Kaercha, Sol, Stem, and Miraj. These long-time Lex members will have some bank access and additional forums access. The goal is to give the officers a somewhat broader perspective and advice when necessary and make things a bit easier for the regular members, since there should be a few more people that can get marks or gems or whatever for you. The flip side of the reorganization is that now I think we have a clear sense of what an officer is: they are raid leaders. Raiders should not feel slighted in the least about this change---I think the reorganization is going to make things a little easier for everyone.
