Frost PvP spec
Saethryth was asking about a pvp frost spec, this is a really good one. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/mage/talents.html?tal=2300510310200000000000000000000000000000000000505320110225010051551

If you're thinking about pvping with a rogue (hinthint) or another non-healing class, investing two points in improved dampen magic is worth it. At the very least, it's another spell that the other team is gonna waste time dispelling.

If you're thinking about pvping with a rogue (hinthint) or another non-healing class, investing two points in improved dampen magic is worth it. At the very least, it's another spell that the other team is gonna waste time dispelling. Since dampen magic is going to dispelled most likely anyway, why waste the points improving it? Here's another page with the most common arena frost spec, along with reasoning for taking/not taking each talent. http://www.arenajunkies.com/talents/mage/17_0_44/

Because if you go against a druid/warrior, druid/rogue, you're not gonna get dispelled.

Because if you go against a druid/warrior, druid/rogue, you're not gonna get dispelled. And you also don't take a lot of magic damage from those two setups to warrant the 2 talent points worth an additional 60 reduction.
